How to Make Chicken Shawarma

 Here’s a simple and flavorful chicken curry recipe :


Ingredients:

  • 4 large chicken breast fillets, cut into large cubes
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon of minced ginger
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 large tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon of curry powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  • Cooked basmati rice for serving

Instructions:

  1. Heat the oil in a pot over high heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent and golden.
  3. Add the chicken cubes and sauté until they are nicely golden.
  4. Add the minced garlic and ginger and stir until aromatic.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, paprika, red pepper flakes, cilantro, cumin, turmeric, curry powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir well and cook on high heat for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add the heavy cream and chopped cilantro, and stir until the ingredients are well combined.
  7. Cover the pot and let the chicken simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.
  8. Serve the chicken curry with cooked basmati rice1.
